Sending an Encrypted Email
- Go to www.outlook.com and sign in.
- Click “New” email button. The “Protect” button should be among the options above the draft message.
- Clicking the Protect button will show a banner across the top of your Draft. Click on the “Change Permisions” link.
- Click the drop-down and select “Encrypt”, then click ok
- Compose your email normally and press send.
How It Looks to the Recipient
- The recipient will see a new email with the original subject line but the below message in the body of the email. The recipient should click “Read the Message”.
- Once the recipient authenticates the encrypted email is displayed:
